Downloading and uploading files via a stakeholder portal

Stakeholders are able to upload files directly to a Matter via their Stakeholder portal, as well as downloading files that have been shared with them by their fee earner. This provides a secure method of sharing confidential information quickly.

How is a Fee Earner Alerted to an Upload?

After a Stakeholder has uploaded a file, the Matter's fee earner will receive an automated email to alert them. This email includes the Stakeholder's name, the file's name and a hyperlink to the Matter.

Within the Matter, an amber light will display requesting that the fee earner reviews the file. The fee earner can click on the file's hyperlink to open it in a modal window, then click Mark as Reviewed to remove the light.

The file will be saved within Docs & Emails, with the name of the Stakeholder that uploaded the file also included.
