GSuite Integration

If you use GSuite for your emails, you can configure Gmail to automatically forward your emails to the matter inside InTouch, saving you time and keeping your emails associated to the matter so that everyone in your team can see the correspondence.

Unlike Microsoft Exchange Server, there isn't a way to configure an organisation wide rule for forwarding, so each team member in you're firm will need to set their own custom forwarding rule.

Setting this up involves two steps, the first is to create a forwarding address and the second is to create an automatic rule to forward to that address.

1. Create a forwarding address

  1. Open and login to your Gmail account using a web browser
  2. Click the Cog icon in the top right of your Gmail inbox
  3. Click Settings
  4. Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP
  5. Click Add a forwarding address
  6. Enter a forwarding address; >
  • For UK and the Channel Islands enter mail@inbound.intouchapp.co.uk
  • For Australian customers enter mail@aus.inbound.intouch.cloud
  1. Click Next
  2. Check the address you have entered is correct and click Proceed
  3. Click Ok

2. To create a forwarding rule;

  1. Click the Cog icon in the top right of your Gmail inbox
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click Filters and Blocked Addresses tab
  4. Click Create new filter
  5. Enter [ITR: into the subject field
  6. Click Continue
  7. Tick Forward it to: and select the email address set up in part 1.6 above.
  8. Click Create filter

Done. Now all emails sent to you that contain a valid ITR code in the subject will automatically be attached the relevant matter on InTouch.

Test this out by using the Outlook plugin and sending an email to yourself for a specific matter.
