Outlook plugin not installing
- Open Internet Explorer
- Click Settings (cog in top right)
- Click Internet Options
- Then Advanced (far right tab)
- Then Reset
- Then Reset again
- Then Close
- Retry The Outlook Plugin
Outlook plugin is still not working:
- Open Internet Explorer
- Click Settings (cog in top right)
- Click Internet Options
- Then click Security (second tab)
- Then “Trusted Sites” (green Tick)
- Then click Sites
- Add https://go.intouchapp.co.uk
Outlook plugin button disappears
If your InTouch button is missing inside of Outlook then it may be caused by Outlook not loading quick enough.
A quick workaround is to re-enable the disabled addin.
In Outlook go to File => Info => Manage Add-ins
However, it may be that you have a slow computer or laptop. If this problem persists we recommend speaking to your IT support and getting better equipment.
Fixing Outlook Install Error "General Installer error"
- Go to Control Panel (Windows Start Menu > Control Panel) and search for Uninstall a Program.
- In the list of installed programs find Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime (VSTO). If it is not there go to step 4.
- Click Repair option and wait for repair to complete. Is Repair is disabled proceed to next step.
- If VSTO isn't in the list of installed programs or there's no option to repair, go to the following link, click Download and install the Tools for Office Runtime : https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48217
- Once the above steps are complete, install the Outlook plugin again.
Fixing "Specified Argument was out of range of valid values. Parameter name: entryvalue"
This error occurs because a cached value is not in the format expect by the Microsoft ClickOnce installer.
To resolve this issue:
- Close all Outlook windows
- Open File Explorer and navigate to %localappdata%\apps _ _- Note you may need to show hidden files and folders to view and delete this folder show hidden files and folders
- There should be a folder name 2.0., delete this folder (this clears the ClickOnce cache)
- Install the add-in
