How do I create a New Matter?
To create a new matter, click > 'Matters'.
Click > '+ Matter'.
Select from existing matter templates, including ‘Purchase’, ‘Sale’, ‘Re-mortgage’ and ‘Transfer of Equity’.
You will then be taken to a page that will require you to input information relating to the new matter.
Input the ‘Reference’ (any data entered here will enable the user to identify and differentiate between each matter).
Click > the drop-down menu to choose a fee earner (select relevant name).
Information regarding the Stakeholder is now required.
Each section will permit you to either:
- ‘Select Existing’ (search for a person’s contact information that has previously been entered.)
- ‘Add New’ (input new contact information)
To ‘Select Existing’, click > ‘+ Select Existing’.
Begin typing the person’s name in the search bar and then click to select.
To ‘Add New’, manually enter the following details:
- Email Address
Enter the Purchase Address (the address of the property of this matter).
Answer any Additional Questions that are required by the matter template.
If the matter is a lead matter, then ensure the box is ticked.
When complete, click > ‘Create Matter’
