Time invoiced report
The Time Invoiced report shows how much of each fee earner’s time has been invoiced over a period, and whether those invoices have been paid. The Time Recording report shows the time recorded in a period instead.

Understanding the Time Invoiced report
Section titled “Understanding the Time Invoiced report”The report lists every client invoice approved in the date range, with one row for each fee earner whose time is on the invoice. Draft and void invoices, and credit notes, are left out.
Five totals above the table show how the invoiced time splits by the invoice’s state:
- On outstanding invoices
- On overdue invoices
- On paid invoices
- On credited invoices
- Total invoiced (net)
The table shows:
- Approved: the date the invoice was approved
- Fee Earner: who recorded the time
- Matter: select the reference to open the matter in a new tab
- Invoice: select the reference to open the matter’s invoices in a new tab
- Hours
- Amount (net): the amount invoiced for that fee earner’s time, excluding tax
- State: Outstanding, Overdue, Paid or Credited, as shown on the matter’s invoices
When a line on an invoice was raised from several fee earners’ time, its amount is shared between them in proportion to the value of the time each recorded. A discount or write-off on the invoice shows as a smaller, or negative, share. Filtering to one fee earner doesn’t change their share. A credit note doesn’t reduce the amount; the invoice’s state shows Credited instead.
