A condition can leave matters out as well as pick them. To exclude a value, choose the negative option when you add the condition:

  • Is Not: the matter’s state, Fee Earner, assigned staff, assistants, team and next milestone
  • Does Not Equal: text and number fields
  • Does Not Contain: text fields
  • Not In Range: date fields
  • Contains None Of: fields where you can choose several options. It returns matters with none of the options listed
  • Is Not Yes and Is Not No: Yes/No fields
  • Is Not Completed and Was Not Completed In Range: tasks

For example, State Is Not Closed returns every matter except closed ones, without a condition for each other state. To exclude several values, add an Is Not condition for each and choose All.

Matters where the field is empty are included in the results. For example, Is Not Yes also returns matters where the Yes/No field was never answered.

The table provides the requested data for each applicable matter.
