Google GSuite integration


If you use GSuite for your emails, you can configure Gmail to automatically attach your emails to the matter inside InTouch.

This can be done for all users via a Google Admin account or on each individual user's account.

Google Admin

  1. Within your Google Admin Account visit:
    1. Apps > Google Workspace > Gmail > Compliance > Content Compliance
  2. Choose to Add Rule
  3. Provide the rule with a name i.e. "Send to InTouch"
  4. Select Inbound and Outbound
  5. Add a new expression:
    1. Select advanced content match
    2. Enter the following:
      1. Location: Subject
      2. Match Type: Contains Text
      3. Content: Your organisation's unique code
        To retrieve your organisation specific code, please email support@intouch.cloud.
  6. Under the Do the following dropdown menu, select 'Add recipients' to the 'Bcc Box'
  7. Add a forwarding address
    1. For the UK and Channel Islands: mail@inbound.intouchapp.co.uk
    2. For Australian customers: mail@aus.inbound.intouch.cloud
    3. For those in the Bahamas: mail@bhs.inbound.intouch.cloud
  8. Save

Individual User Account

Setting this up involves two steps:

  1. Creating a forwarding address
  2. Creating a forwarding rule
    Each team member in you're firm will need to set up their own custom forwarding rule.
Creating a forwarding address
  1. Login to your Gmail account using a web browser
  2. Select the Cog icon in the top right corner
  3. See All Settings
  4. Select the tab Forwarding and POP/IMAP
  5. Add a forwarding address
    1. For the UK and Channel Islands: mail@inbound.intouchapp.co.uk
    2. For Australian customers: mail@aus.inbound.intouch.cloud
    3. For those in the Bahamas: mail@bhs.inbound.intouch.cloud
  6. Next > Proceed
  7. Once complete, email support@intouch.cloud to let us know that you have set this up
  8. We will confirm this on your behalf
Creating a forwarding rule
  1. Login to your Gmail account using a web browser
  2. Select the Cog icon in the top right corner
  3. See All Settings
  4. Select the tab Filters and Blocked Addresses
  5. Create a new filter
  6. Enter your organisation specific code into the subject field
    To retrieve your organisation specific code, please email support@intouch.cloud.
  7. Create Filter
  8. Tick Forward it to: and input the relevant email address:
    1. For the UK and Channel Islands: mail@inbound.intouchapp.co.uk
    2. For Australian customers: mail@aus.inbound.intouch.cloud
    3. For those in the Bahamas: mail@bhs.inbound.intouch.cloud
  9. Create filter

Now all received emails that contain a valid ITR code in the subject will be automatically attached the relevant matter on InTouch.
