SMS templates
Creating a New SMS Template
- Navigate to Settings > SMS Messages
- Select + SMS Template
- Name: Provide a name which will be used when selecting the template on a matter
- Description: Provide any information that will help users understand what the template should be used for
- Create
You will be directed to the Edit view of the new Template where you can input its content.
Editing an SMS Template
- Compose: Provide the body of the SMS
- Name: Provide a name which will be used when selecting the template on a matter
- Description: Provide any information that will help users understand what the template should be used for
Data Markers
When editing an SMS, the Data Marker tab provides a list of all the Data Markers associated with your account. These are either built in, or have been created within your Matter Templates.
Inserting a Data Marker
- Select the Data Markers tab
- Use the search bar or filter through your groups to find the required marker
- Use the 'actions' menu to:
- Insert into the top of the template
- Copy to clipboard
- Check For Errors before saving the template to ensure there are no formatting error

Form Links
SMS templates can also contain links to InTouch forms, allowing the user to be directed to the form from their text message!
- Within your InTouch Settings, navigate to the form you would like to link within the SMS template
- Copy the link on the left-hand side of the page under the text:
"Use the following snippet in email & document templates and even within a different form to give the receiver a link to this form" - Paste this link into the SMS template you would like to add the form link toWhen the SMS template is sent from a matter, the link will direct the user to complete the relevant form. Once complete, the form submission will return to the matter!
